Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea launches a wine dedicated to Constantin Brâncuși on its National Day: SĂRUT. Inspired by the sculptor’s pieces of work, SĂRUT is o rose wine in which two varieties blend, Pinot Noir and Feteasca Neagra. 

On the 19th February 2021, Romania celebrates 145 years since the birth of Constantin Brâncuși. Out of the desire to pay tribute to the artist, but also to the Romanian values, Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea launches on his birthday the wine called SĂRUT, a wine about love, about the magic of the meeting between the right halves and about the stories of places and people. 

A bridge between two worlds, SĂRUT represents a connection between the stone’s soul, discovered and explored by Constantin Brâncuși in his art, and, the earth’s soul, discovered by the wine of Oltenia. On the same land of Oltenia, the vineyards from Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea grow, spring, and end up being transformed into high-quality wines, well apprecieted by critics all over the world.

Inspired by the kiss symbol from Constantin Brâncuși’s work and how the sculptor highlighted the Romanian spirit in his pieces, SĂRUT celebrates the Romanian values and gets them further. 

Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea is well-known for its philosophy of paying tribute to true Romanian values, as seen in the Vardo, Simphony, Marama, Rare Varieties, Principesa Margareta, and Minima Moralia ranges, multi-award-winning and internationally recognized for exceptional wines. Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea is the vineyard with the highest number of international awards brought back to Romania: 398 prizes and medals won in Europe, Asia and America.   

Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea was one of the 12 domains given under the administration of the Royal House, in 1884. In 1929, it is given the right to produce wines with Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC), and in 2002, the Anghel family took over the company. With passion and respect for the historical load of this place, the Anghel family plants on the lands of the vineyard for quality wines.

Since 2010, Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea is the Official Supplier of the Romanian Royal House, a title awarded by His Majesty, King Mihai. SĂRUT wine is available online, directly on our website, or in specialised partner stores, and soon in the HoReCa network.
